New Provincial Leadership - Report by Sister Lynette Toohey rscj.

On Sunday 30th January 2011, the ANZ Province celebrated a ritual for the transition of provincial leadership from Sr Anne McGrath to Sr Joan Pender. A gathering of RSCJ at Claremont Cottage included the outgoing and incoming provincial teams. RSCJ from other Areas were linked by teleconference for the simple and heartwarming ceremony.

Gratitude was expressed to the immediate outgoing team of Sisters Anne McGrath, Diana Hayes, Elizabeth Snedden and Lynette Toohey. This was followed by prayer and the promise of support for the incoming team of Sisters Joan Pender, Esmey Herscovitch, Kathleen Muirhead and Susan Ross.

It was a wonderful encounter of ‘cor unum’ as we renewed our trust in the fidelity of God and the love of our sisters at this new moment in the life of the Province.
