Sonia’s Organ Pipe

Sonia was a great lover of music and especially enjoyed concerts in the Chapel. She was immediately enthusiastic about the organ restoration project and gave it her full support. Each time she gave a donation it was always “This is for the organ instead of putting it on the (church) plate”. So the Parish Planned Giving missed out that week.

Over the years of pipe sponsorship there have been several requests for engraving of names on pipes, which of course cannot be done. However, one organ pipe will have a permanent reminder of a woman who reached out to the world.

Sonia’s pipe is in the rank of the Voix Humaine (Human Voice) to honour her response to the cries of humanity for warmth, comfort and love. Her pipe is wrapped with a small piece of wool tied in a bow.
