SANDWICHES & SONG 2010

On 25 October, Ros Winterton (Julian – Rose Bay 1961), the President of the NSW Sacre Coeur Association and her Committee, with the Principal Hilary Johnson Croke welcomed our older Alumnae to the Annual Sandwiches & Song Luncheon.

This event for Rose Bay, Kincoppal and other Sacre Coeur Alumnae who have left school for 70 years or more, is becoming increasingly popular with 72 of our “Diamond Darlings” attending this year.

The happy day commenced with a beautiful Liturgy in the Chapel, prepared by Sister Marg McKay, followed by some charming musical performances in the Performing Arts Centre, from the current KRB school girls, and then a lovely lunch with lots of chat, reminiscing and catching up.

Some hightlights of the day were the wonderful power point display of old school photos prepared by the new Alumnae Archivist Dominique Novak d”Hennin, ( a young KRB alumnae), the beautiful Red & White table floral centrepieces, and the cute crimson velvet pouches holding surprise chocolate hearts for each alumnae.

A very special mention must go to the Alumnae Committee and other generous helpers, who chauffeured our less mobile aged Alumnae to and from the lunch from all over Sydney. Without our personal chauffeurs many of the guests would have been unable to attend.

Thank you to Maureen Brett for taking the photos of this memorable occasion.
